The Zwölf Playlist Project (ZPP) is something that started as playlists gifted to friends in recovery programs, in December 2022. As an addict in recovery myself, it is a small way I can be of service.

A Zwölf Playlist Project; On the Faster Side

When I’ve learned of friends going through tough times, music has been a way I can attempt to assist. I also use these lists to show gratitude to those who have helped me along the way. With ZPP I assemble personalized lists of twelve fast and twelve slower selections of music, in an order I think might work well. I use Spotify tracks created by musicians I am acquainted with.

After having created these individual playlists, the tracks are then all put together on master playlists, so to speak. This way, anyone can hear which music has been “gifted” thus far, and may also listen to these broader playlists for their own personal use.

Themes considered when selecting music for ZPP:

  • Empowerment
  • Mourning
  • Struggle
  • Humor
  • Love – of Self, of Family and Relationships
  • Addiction
  • Meditation and Peace
  • Trying Again
  • Gratitude
  • Joy
  • Higher Power
  • Personal Interests or Circumstances of the Friend the List is For
A Zwölf Playlist Project; No Vocals

This is an informal project that I do for fun, for friends. I do not take submissions or requests for the playlists nor do I get paid/accept tips for making them. That being said, I do hope they can be enjoyed and appreciated.

Zwölf = German for twelve.
